Insertion Electromagnetic Flow Meter
Insertion Electromagnetic Flow Meter: Economical and practical, easy to install, suitable for large pipe diameters and situations where inline flowmeters are difficult to install.
Insertion Electromagnetic Flow Meter: Economical and Convenient, Flexible Installation, Suitable for Large Pipe Diameters
An Insertion Electromagnetic Flow Meter is a device that integrates the measurement electrodes and excitation coils of an electromagnetic flowmeter into an insertion probe. By inserting the probe into the pipeline, it measures flow velocity based on the principle that fluid cutting magnetic field lines generates an induced voltage. Compared to full-bore electromagnetic flowmeters, insertion electromagnetic flowmeters offer advantages such as lower cost, simple installation, and no impact on pipeline pressure loss. They are particularly suitable for large pipe diameters, situations where production shutdown for installation is difficult, or for temporary measurements. They are also often used for multi-point measurements or as backup metering devices.
Features:
- Economical and Practical, Lower Cost: Compared to full-bore electromagnetic flowmeters, the cost is lower, providing users with an economical flow measurement solution.
- Simple and Quick Installation: Only requires drilling a hole in the pipeline and installing an interface to insert the probe, significantly reducing installation time and production downtime.
- Suitable for Large Pipe Diameters: For very large diameter pipelines, installing full-bore flowmeters is costly and difficult, making the insertion type a better choice.
- No Impact on Pipeline Pressure Loss: The probe has an insertion design with minimal disturbance to the fluid flow within the pipeline, resulting in negligible pressure loss.
- Flexible Measurement Point Selection: Allows selection of different installation positions (e.g., pipeline center or specific heights) as needed, enabling local velocity measurement or estimation of average velocity.
