In the Mining and Metallurgy sectors, media primarily consist of heavy, abrasive mineral slurries, tailings, and corrosive leaching acids. These substances are characterized by high solid concentrations and significant density. A vital prerequisite is maintaining a homogeneous mixture to prevent particle settling. The fluid must move at a sufficiently high velocity to keep solids in suspension. Furthermore, a stable, full-pipe condition is mandatory, and all contact environments must be exceptionally resistant to mechanical wear and chemical erosion to ensure consistent and predictable fluid behavior.
